Generations For Peace Staff Awarded 2020 Gratitude Network Fellowship

3 December 2019 – Washington/DC: Generations For Peace Development and Partnerships Director and US Representative, Lindsay McClain Opiyo, has been awarded a prestigious 2020 Gratitude Network Fellowship in support of Generations For Peace scaling its peacebuilding efforts in the United States. The Gratitude Network Fellowship is a 12-month leadership development program designed to help social entrepreneurs serving children and youth to scale their organizations to the next level and therefore expand their impact. McClain Opiyo was selected from a pool of 1,200 global applicants and is one of 30 Fellows from 11 countries.

The announcement was made today in an article in Forbes, a leading global media company focused on business and entrepreneurship. In doing so, the Gratitude Network and Forbes have promoted Generations For Peace as a worthy cause for donations on “Giving Tuesday,” an annual day that encourages people to do good and support charities.

The fellowship recognizes Generations For Peace’s and McClain Opiyo’s demonstrated innovation, outstanding leadership and potential to scale GFP’s unique approach of grassroots peacebuilding that positively impacts in-need children and youth. Throughout 2020, the fellowship will support McClain Opiyo to execute Generations For Peace’s US expansion efforts, namely developing new programming, outreach, advocacy and fundraising activities that further cement the Jordan-based non-profit as a thought leader in peacebuilding.
