File will be delivered via email.
The International Day of Peace (Peace Day) Is celebrated around the world each year on September 21st. Generations For Peace USA (GFP USA) has developed this session plan as a free resource for coaches, teachers, and other youth workers. It is based off of our flagship approach of Sport For Peace, and demonstrates how sport-based games can be used with youth to ensure inclusion, foster cooperation, build trust, and nurture responsibility.
This resource contains an overview on Peace Day and Sport For Peace, as well as a sample session plan and detailed instructions for how to facilitate Sport For Peace activities with youth to commemorate Peace Day. The plan is designed to be implemented in full or in part, such that facilitators can pick one or more of the activities to implement based on their group’s composition, availability, and needs. Ideally, any session will include an introduction, one or more activities with debriefs, and a closing reflection.
